Ride The Route Tour of Worcestershire - Sunday 14th September 2008
Welcome to the 2nd Ride the Route based on all the best bits of the Tour Of Britain routes through the County of Worcestershire, in 2007 and 2008. Supported by Worcestershire's Choose how you move.
This year we have added to the tests the Pro's will have to endure with our own route the Tour wouldn't go up.
The "Challenge" will add several new climbs and one "Killer Option" that we only suggest you try if you have good walking shoes.
We start and finish this year at Worcester Racecourse with an easy run out of the City and cycle route finish avoiding all the traffic.
We are offering an almost traffic free family ride around the city, ideal for children of all ages.
This year again we offer the Malvern climbs and of course Ankerdine but throw in Stanford Bank and a trip out to TENBURY Wells with another 6 climbs before we get to the "killer option-Wynniattes Way" Abberley, followed by 4 more before returning to Worcester.
We will have 2 FEED points and 2 DRINKS at 38m,50m, 66m and 73 miles again offering HIGH5 products, fruit and cakes.
Entries are available on line only at £25 for the 92 mile Challenge and the Free Family ride both by downloadable entry form and on line.
We are supporting our favoured Charity, the Marie Curie Cancer Care again and appreciate your contribution of £2 from your entry fee which the organisers will match.
The HQ will be the centre of the Racecourse and parking is free and plentiful with refreshments at the end of the ride.
We will offer a full photography service to record your efforts and timing will be available for those who wish to know how long it took to hurt their legs.
Our sponsors are supplying a very generous goody bag again this year worth over £15 and as entries are limited to the 400 we suggest an early entry.
We look forward to seeing you in September.
